“For me, drawing is my favorite way to capture movement and moments. I work outdoors for landscapes and seascapes, sitting on my special lightweight waterproof picnic blanket in the fields and on the beach, often fending off sheep and seagulls which see my pastels as tasty snacks!

Over time, I’ve noticed that the fields are different each year, dandelions taking the spotlight one year, English daisies the next. I used to take for granted that I could catch a flower later, then come back and find that it had gone! It could be two years before a spectacular pink-edged white poppy reappears.”
